Our culture sector has a major role to play in addressing the climate and nature emergencies through connecting, inspiring and engaging communities, whilst also becoming environmentally sustainable and building climate resilience.

Culture and Climate Cymru creates a space for knowledge sharing and collaboration, to promote best practice and facilitate innovative action.

Culture and Climate Cymru has been developed as part of the National Library of Wales’s Climate Action Programme, delivered in partnership with the Welsh Government.

Theatre is a powerful tool for behaviour change. Keeping policy and lawmakers on track with tackling climate change needs a focussed cultural voice.

Climate change is reshaping our world; archives must engage now, preserving evidence, sharing knowledge, and inspiring action for tomorrow.

Addressing climate change is vital. Safeguarding collections and buildings so they can be enjoyed by future generations is central to our purpose.

Climate action is central to our core mission. Exchanging best practice and benchmarking through Culture and Climate Cymru further strengthens this.
