The discussion forum (wpForo) contains accessibility issues introduced by third-party software, including:

  • Inconsistent heading structure across forum pages and threads
  • Some interactive elements do not consistently meet minimum target size and spacing requirements
  • The rich text editor (WYSIWYG) operates within an embedded frame and has limited keyboard accessibility and screen reader feedback
  • Some form fields where visible labels and accessible names do not match
  • Occasional ARIA attributes generated by the editor that do not fully align with WAI-ARIA best practices

This affects multiple WCAG 2.2 success criteria including:

  • 1.3.1 Info and Relationships
  • 2.1.1 Keyboard
  • 2.5.3 Label in Name
  • 2.5.8 Target Size (Minimum)

Third-party content

Some accessibility issues are introduced by external services, including cookie consent tools:

  • Certain elements within the cookie consent interface are not fully keyboard accessible.

Disproportionate burden

We have not identified any accessibility issues that are currently considered a disproportionate burden.

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

The following content is exempt from the accessibility regulations:

  • Third-party content not funded, developed, or controlled by Culture & Climate Cymru or the National Library of Wales
  • Pre-recorded time-based media published before 23 September 2020
